Taiwan's Minister of Economic Affairs Yiin Chi-ming expects to sign an
MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Fujitsu, NEC, and Mitsubishi on WiMAX
collaboration, according to a China Times report on July 24. The three Japanese
corporations have expressed interest in joining hands with Taiwanese companies
on developing WiMAX technologies, and Minister Yiin is expected to discuss
related matters during his visit to Japan in late July. It is reported that the
MoU covers the establishment of a WiMAX system integration company.
